Just now a friend called me from Tokyo and we talked for 13 minutes, in Japanese!! I guess I'm over my phobia of talking on phones in foreign languages! Ha! It's still crazy nerve-racking though.
So random!! Mayuko stayed with my family during a high school exchange for just 5 days... nearly 10 years ago! Since then, we have kept in touch by sending letters and more recently short emails.
She is now working as a nurse near Tokyo and I plan to visit her next month during summer holidays. I am so excited to meet her again. I think we will have both changed a lot! It should be fun!
